Na deel 1 is hier de lang verwachtte opvolger, Team Fortress 2
“Nine mercenaries have come together for a job. Two holding corporations that secretly control every government on the planet. Each corporation administers its half of the world with a multi-disciplined army of paper pushers. For any problem lacking an obvious bureaucratic solution, mercenaries like these are contracted to address the situation through a massive application of force.”

Dit is in het kort het ‘verhaal’ achter Team Fortress 2. Een cartoony shooter waarbij je gelijk moet denken aan ‘The Incredibles’. Spies, soldiers, een grote dikke Heavy, Sniper en nog veel meer classes. De game bevat simpele gameplay met goede diepgang, veel humor en de beste support van Valve met ontzettend veel updates.

De nieuwste update staat voor de deur. De updates in Team Fortress zijn gekoppeld aan achievements, nieuwe maps en class updates. Valve teased de community met affiches, korte filmpjes en grappige strips voor de nieuwe update. De ‘meet the ….’ filmpjes op de site zijn echt super!
Deze update staan er twee classes centraal. De Spy en de Sniper. Valve lanceert vandaag de nieuwe content en dit weekend een ‘free to play’ weekend.

Dit zijn de nieuwe wapens voor de Spy en Sniper class:

Spy

- Added new revolver replacement, The Ambassador. First shot is very accurate and will cause a critical hit if it hits an enemy’s head. Accuracy is poor for a period after that

- Added new watch replacement, the Dead Ringer. When armed, you will appear in all ways to die to the first damage you take from an enemy. You’ll be cloaked for 8 second after taking this damage. Upon de-cloaking you’ll make a loud, distinct sound

- Added new watch replacement, the Cloak and Dagger. Your cloak meter is only depleted when you move, so you can stay invisible indefinitely if you’re standing still

Sniper

-Added new sniper rifle replacement, The Huntsman. Instead of a sniper rifle, you have a bow that allows you to move around faster while firing, and fire more quickly than the sniper rifle. Works better at medium range than the standard rifle

- Added new SMG replacement, Jarate. If thrown on an enemy they will take more damage for short period of time. Also extinguishes flames on yourself or allies

- Added new SMG replacement, The Razorback. Will protect you against a single spy backstab, and stun the spy for a short period of time. Comes with a 15% move speed penalty for the wearer
